Greenleaf’s Garden Design prepped and installed gardens for a residential property in Pepperell, MA. This garden install occurred on November 25th and 26th. The client chose the 100 perennials she wanted. We ordered 9 yards of compost and soil mix from a Groton Nursery as well as 5 yards of black mulch. We laid out mats on the grass and walkways to protect them from the Toro Dingo. The Dingo made quick work of moving the materials. On day one we spread the compost/soil and the perennials. The overnight low was 17 degrees, so the ground was frozen about 3/4 of an inch. I used warm water from the hose to properly align the plants with the soil. The client wanted an irrigation system. After the drip lines were installed, the next step was to spread the mulch. I carefully laid the mulch to keep it away from the cut back perennials centre. The client loved her new gardens and was happily anticipating spring!!
