These gardens were started from scratch four years ago. The upper garden measures about 1,500 square feet and is a mosaic of colors. With stunning purples, yellows, pinks, and vibrant greens growing exceptionally tall because of daily watering by the client combined with 10-inch compost and luxurious full sunshine this garden is the talk of the neighborhood. It’s so much fun to visit with the 8-foot-tall purple Cannas, 8 amazing ornamental grasses and happy perennials that adore their environment.

The bottom garden was a dry sand bar. My solution was to create a dry stream bed which turned into another 1,500 square foot area with a white rock path to give it some visual interest. I then installed plants that like full sun and poor soil to complete the garden.
