Some gardens become part of the family, and this Bedford landscape is one of them.

We’re now in our third year caring for these gardens. Every May, we refresh the front border by removing an 8-inch-wide by 30-foot-long strip of last year’s soil, replacing it with one yard of rich garden soil, and planting 35 vibrant New Guinea impatiens.

A drip irrigation system waters the flowers for 20 minutes every other day, keeping them healthy through the summer. By mid-July, these annuals will be nearly a foot tall, creating a colorful ribbon that welcomes everyone along the front walkway.

Garden Maintenance in Bedford, NH

Like every garden, this one has its challenges. One particularly stubborn weed refuses to surrender—even after Roundup! We’ve found that regular applications of vinegar every couple of months keep it in check, proving that every landscape has its own personality.

It’s always rewarding to return each season, watch the gardens mature, and help them become even more beautiful than the year before.

🌸 Beautiful gardens aren’t created in a day—they’re cared for year after year.
