Every garden has its own personality — and sometimes the location tells you exactly what it wants to become.
This Pelham, NH garden brought a unique challenge: hot afternoon sun from noon until five every day. Instead of fighting the conditions, we designed around them.
The vision became a garden filled with plants that could embrace the heat — colorful perennials, hardy textures, succulents, ornamental grasses, and a beautiful Prickly Pear Cactus as the unexpected centerpiece. 
Finding a cactus this size in New England was exciting but seeing it settle into its new home was even better. Within a month it surprised everyone with two gorgeous blooms!
I love checking back on gardens after installation because the real reward is seeing them grow. Hearing a client say:
