This Methuen project brought together beautiful stonework, new garden beds, and a huge variety of plantings—and the transformation looks amazing.
Before we got started, my business partner spent about a week and a half installing the new walkways, patios and steps, creating a beautiful framework around the property.
Then it was time for Greenleaf’s Garden Design to bring the gardens to life. About 15 yards of rich garden soil were brought in to prepare the new beds. On the slope, we planted approximately 50 spreading junipers and 50 perennials, giving the hillside a mix of evergreen structure, texture and seasonal color.
The stone edging, fresh soil, perennials and spreading junipers all work beautifully with the new walkway as it winds through the property.
And with all the rain we’ve had, the wildflower and clover gardens are doing quite well too!
This one really came together—the entire property now feels connected from the house all the way down the slope.
