Spring and before Winter.

garden clean-up

When Rich arrives at your garden for a maintenance request, he will ask what you love, dislike, and need in your garden. Rich has found that good questions enhance communication and ease of gardening to match what his clients envision.

Rich’s goal is to help both the plants and the owner.  Does it need more sunshine, water, or nutrients?  Are there trees or shrubs that need to be pruned or removed?

He will choose the most cost-effective path that works within your budget.  His goal is to work with Mother Nature sensing your garden’s charm and strengths. Each client has their diverse list of urgent, and less immediate concerns. His approach is tailored. Therefore, each garden uniquely finds its home in your landscape.  There will be a detailed, crafted proposal that we can talk through and formalize into an approved plan.

How often do you want us to check in on your gardens? We can schedule weekly, monthly, quarterly, or as a one-time visit.

Maintenance Approach:

  • Check all plants for health which includes searching for diseases and looking for lack of food or water.
  • If a space opens up, Rich will create a list of possible plants to add.
  • Remove all weeds.
  • Trim, prune and deadhead all plants and prune for health and aesthetics.
  • Sweep or blow all areas to make them neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Check irrigation system.
  • Complete final walk-through.

We will update you after our visit to let you know if your gardens need more attention in these areas.
