We Are Greenleaf’s Garden Design

I worked first at a local apple orchard, then a strawberry farm, and later in a greenhouse.  In 1994 I graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Plant Science.

In 1998 on a whim, I decided to hike the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. My trail name became “Greenleaf”. It felt so good to be outside each day that I decided I needed to be working outside after finishing the trail.

After 22 years working with trees, I sold the tree service business and chose to re-sprout the garden design business.

In my 10,000 square foot gardens in Tyngsboro Massachusetts, I care for 2,000 annuals, shrubs, perennials, and flowering trees.  I enjoy listening to clients and surveying their yards while creating a unique garden design. My proposals are in sync with clients’ dreams of what the land’s own unique environment can support. When away from gardens, I love to backpack, and I have currently hiked about 35,000 miles.

I am a Mass Certified Arborist and Landscape Professional, so I can inform clients about the health of their trees and create a garden design or plan.

The crew size is based on the size and complexity of the project before us.   I employee two skilled gardeners.  We can create and install plans for small gardens or for the entire landscape.  For larger jobs I partner with a gentleman who has been in the nursery trade for 30 years and his 2 speedy crew members.  For hardscape we can highly recommend companies based on your location.
