Hedges provide privacy, protection from wind, reduce noise, create wildlife habitat, beautify the landscape, and provide a vibrant green screen.

Many species of birds, insects, and small mammals use hedges to provide shelter as well as safety from predators and for berries.

Hedges can move the gardener’s eye onto the plants in the foreground and enhance colorful plants in front of them.

Many hedge species bring a wealth of color through flowers, fruits and berries. They are low maintenance and just need an irrigation system and pruning. All that is left to do is enjoy.

A hedge over its lifetime gives far more back to the environment than it takes, and it is this fact that makes it a truly sustainable option over a wall or a fence.
