Day one in Pelham started off smoothly. The crew edged the beds and laid down fresh mulch, instantly sharpening up the property and giving it that clean, finished look.

While I was cutting back some front shrubs that had grown way too tall, I suddenly felt it — four wasp stings. No big deal… but clearly I had found something.

After a little investigating, I spotted the tunnel entrance to the nest in the ground.

Since one of my crew members needed to weed-whack near the wooded edge, I raked through the surrounding areas first to make sure there weren’t any additional ground nests hiding nearby. Thankfully, none were found.

Two days later, I returned to finish pruning and mulching. In the meantime, an exterminator had safely taken care of the nest, so we were able to complete the job without any more surprises.
