It’s always rewarding to return to a garden and see how everything is filling in! This early July update from Hudson, NH shows how beautifully this backyard planting is becoming established.
Greenleaf’s Garden Design planted five Japanese hollies, each about 3½ feet tall, to provide structure and year-round greenery around the new patio. We added five red roses for bold summer color and approximately 20 Pachysandra plugs along the front of the bed to create a low-growing groundcover that connects the garden naturally to the patio.
The contrast between the deep green hollies and those bright red roses is really beginning to make an impact. As the Pachysandra continues to spread, it will soften the edge and help tie the entire planting together.
And our client? She was ecstatic with the new colors—and especially happy to see her beloved Pachysandra!
