We returned to this TyngsboroMA garden in early July to see how everything was developing, and the garden is absolutely radiating with color.
The backbone of this landscape is mostly small trees and shrubs, giving the garden height, structure and plenty of different textures. This season, Greenleaf’s Garden Design added three more shrubs and six perennials to fill a few areas and continue building on the original design.
What I really like about this garden is that you don’t need hundreds of flowers to create something spectacular. The flowering perennials add splashes of pink, purple, orange and white, while the ornamental grasses, shrubs and small trees provide the structure that carries the garden through the entire season.
And this is only year two.
As these plants continue to mature and fill their spaces, this garden is going to become even more impressive.
Sometimes the best part of garden design is simply coming back a year later and seeing the original vision come alive.
