Once back, we tracked down the perfect plant material for her property: 13 Arborvitaes and 6 deciduous shrubs. The Arborvitaes and three Viburnums came fromMahoney’s, while the Japanese Maple and a beautiful clump Kousa Dogwood were sourced from Country Brook Farms.
On November 20th, our crew got to work. The project included:
- 5 yards of fresh garden soil
- 6 yards of hemlock mulch
- Bio-Tone organic root stimulator
- A professionally installed drip irrigation system
Using our Dingo to auger 14 planting holes, and with a four-man crew, we completed the installation in just about 6 hours. The finishing touches will include spraying with Wilt-Pruf and tying up the Green Giants to protect them from harsh winter drying winds.
Another successful planting project wrapped up just in time to give these trees and shrubs a strong start before winter — and a beautiful landscape for years to come.
