Our latest late-July garden update takes us to the popular Dream Diner in Tyngsboro, MA, where 700 colorful annual vincas are turning the roadside garden into a spectacular display of summer color!
Greenleaf’s Garden Design has been maintaining this beautiful garden for two seasons now, and the results are certainly worth sharing.
A Summer Explosion of Color!
Brilliant shades of hot pink, soft pink, rose, and crisp white vincas have filled out beautifully, creating a colorful carpet of blooms around the established shrubs and ornamental trees.
The combination of flowering annuals, lush green foliage, and natural stone edging gives this garden a wonderful layered appearance. And with its prominent roadside location, there’s plenty of opportunity for passing motorists and diner customers to enjoy the view!
Annual vincas are an excellent choice for sunny locations like this one. They thrive in summer heat, produce flowers continuously, and provide outstanding color throughout the growing season.
By late July, these 700 plants have grown together into an impressive sea of flowers, creating the full, vibrant appearance we envisioned.
There’s something especially rewarding about watching a garden mature over the summer and seeing hundreds of individual plants come together into one beautiful landscape.
