Greenleaf’s Garden Design

This Littleton wildflower garden has grown into something truly special—both in size and impact.

Now entering its third year, this project has been expanded thoughtfully over time, transforming a steep slope into a thriving pollinator paradise.

Growing Year by Year

Each season, we’ve added to the garden in strategic sections. Originally installed along a challenging incline, we continued building out the space with an additional 1,000 square feet, followed by another 875-square-foot strip this year.

The latest upgrade introduced a brand-new horseshoe-shaped garden area totaling 1,000 square feet, bringing the entire landscape to an impressive 4,000 square feet of pollinator-friendly planting.

Design Meets Challenge

Working on a steep slope requires careful planning—not just for aesthetics, but for soil stability, drainage, and long-term plant success. The layout and phased approach allowed us to build a garden that not only looks natural, but performs beautifully in a demanding environment.

A True Showstopper

Today, this garden lives up to its name.

It’s a true pollinator haven, alive with butterflies, bees, and beneficial insects throughout the growing season. Passersby often stop to admire both the scale of the planting and the vibrant activity it attracts.

This project has become one of our Top 5 favorite gardens at Greenleaf’s Garden Design—a perfect blend of natural beauty, ecological value, and thoughtful design.
